Animals
Meet "Wolfie"! -- a volunteer wearing a full-body, plush wolf costume.
Help Colorado's existing wolf population survive and thrive; learn information about wolf biology and ecology, and the status of wolf recovery in Colorado (and elsewhere if info is desired.)
DURANGOATS
Pet the Goats! Learn about goats; how grazing animals can be managed to build soil health rather than degradation.
Kids can play Bear Smart Jeopardy Game and win prizes for participating.
Take simple measures to be safe and protect property while preserving the welfare of our area bears.

Transfer flower color to cotton! Learn how to use natural colors from nature to color cotton. Check out our jewelry and other hand made items.
Learn how solar and battery storage can reduce coal powered dependence, create a more sustainable household, and reduce power usage in a home. Child friendly yard games (cornhole, washer toss, etc)!
Climate Change
Understand how to lobby representatives to preserve and enact climate friendly legislation.
CLIMATE STUDY GROUP and 100 FOR THE EARTH
Enjoy our human-powered toys for kids of all ages and an agrovoltaics display with plants and water pump. Children will be able to turn off the pump by covering over the solar panel.
Learn how plants can be grown in the shade of solar panels, how solar panels work, and the importance of community philanthropy.
Energy
Get ready to crack the case of where your power comes from with LPEA’s Monster Detective Collective booth! We’re transforming our booth into an outdoor movie theater—powered entirely by an LPEA electric vehicle—where kids can grab a Monster Detective activity book and stickers to fuel their creativity. It’s going to be a high-energy day of solar experiments, community power, and hands-on fun for the whole family.
Pinnacle Heat Pumps will host an interactive “Find the Draft” activity where children can locate air leaks in a small mock wall section with insulation and window gaps. Kids can use a smoke pen to see where air is coming in, learning how air sealing helps homes save energy and stay comfortable. We will also have a thermal camera station to show heat loss and insulation performance in a fun, hands-on way.

Energy Efficient Window and Door Replacements. Learn how to make smart decisions on window and door replacements.
We also have an non profit organization within our company named: Window of Giving. We help all types of other non-profit organization all year long. Serving, loving and helping with their needs. We welcome anyone.

We will provide information about voting in LPEA elections; provide any current updates on Hesperus solar project.
Our goal is to get renewable energy on the grid!
Matchbook cars (EVs), toy charging stations, and more! There will also be a large, colorful spinwheel associated with the giveaways.
Sign up for energy rebates, get involved with community solar programs, navigate the used EV market, learn about EVs and EV charging, and get connected with state funding for clean transportation programs.

Food and Waste
Learn all the ways spent grains can be used after brewing! We of course use it to make granola but spent grain has a variety of other uses: bread, pizza dough, crackers, bars, etc. We advocate for the use of these leftover grain as it maximizes the grains' potential value by giving it a second purpose.
Bike operated compost sifting!
Learn the basics of composting, why it matters, close looped system, and how to sift compost for your garden bed!
Coffee quiz w/prizes!
Learn how your cup of coffee can support sustainable farming practices that are good for the world.
We will have interactive stations where folks of all ages (and mutliple languages) can learn about activities they can do in their very own homes to reduce their food emissions. We will then ask folks to fill out a pledge sheet and take polaroids of them holding the pledge. Fruit and veggie costumes will be on hand to help spice up the photo booth!
Dig for worms!
Learn how important worms are for healthy soil and how important that soil is for a healthy environment. Learn about regenerative agriculture through the power of worms!
Justice, Government, and Democracy
Learn what it means that the Animas River now has rights accorded by the city council!
Learn how our local and national faith has actively supported environmental justice activities for many decades
Household water use exhibit. Use a foot pump to fill up tubes that show how much water you use everyday for household uses.
